Investing in the Data Value Chain for nutrition in West Africa: How to bring a Call To Action to life? An interactive webinar hosted by WAHO February 1, 2021 2-3.30 pm GMT

The Together for Nutrition: West African Data Forum, held in Saly, Senegal in February 2020, convened 93 key actors from 15 ECOWAS countries to share experiences in the generation, analysis and use of data for policy and programming to improve nutrition outcomes in the region. Forum participants developed a common Call To Action to invest in the data value chain for nutrition in West Africa. This Call To Action, which is consistent with the strategic aims of the ECOWAS Regional Nutrition Strategic Plan, was endorsed by WAHO. As a key outcome from the Data Forum, it was disseminated through various channels with countries and partners for uptake.

This webinar seeks to take stock of progress on the uptake of the Call To Action and to highlight country experiences of using the Nutrition Data Value Chain to inform policy and program development. It will also provide insights on how to contextualize the Call To Action on the Nutrition Data Value Chain at country level. Through interactive discussion we will identify success and challenges.
The webinar will also provide a platform for countries to express interest to receive technical support from the WAHO and its partners to accelerate the uptake of the CTA. The ultimate aim of the webinar is to strengthen the management of nutrition data along the value chain for more effective planning, monitoring and decision-making.

Country input
Countries are asked to submit a succinct update (using the attached ppt template) to showcase progress/plans in the contextualization of the CTA.
